About the client: Prohub is the first and only independent online hub for property professionals in the UK, launched to cater to the needs of property professionals by providing them with the most efficient tools to run and develop their business.
Requirements: We were asked to develop a blogging community website where members could interact with each other in multiple ways. Some of the main functions had to include: internal messaging system with an internal inbox for each account, a rating and point system, user discussion groups with privacy settings and membership restrictions, polls, user profile pages, different templates for different types of users, user/group/article directory and RSS feed.
Solution: One of the portal’s main identity mark had to be the easiness of finding information throughout its pages. Therefore, we designed a simple, clean but yet, professional, layout that would stay out of the user’s way in searching for articles. As far as the programming part is concerned, we’ve adopted a simple HTML solution, with a powerful PHP back-end and Java Script insertions. Since the RSS feeds have already been implemented, we’ve also thrown in a feed of internal posts and external articles.
